Return & Exchange Policy

At Rooted Living Designs, we take pride in providing healthy, high-quality plants and products. We understand that occasionally a plant may not thrive despite proper care.

Plant Exchange Policy

We offer a 7-day exchange policy on plants purchased in-store. If a plant begins to decline or die within 7 days of purchase due to an unknown cause, we may exchange it for the same plant or a similar plant of equal value.

To be eligible for an exchange, the plant must be brought back to the shop for assessment.

Customer Care Responsibility

Once a plant leaves our shop, its ongoing care becomes the responsibility of the purchaser. We are unable to replace plants that have experienced issues resulting from:

  • Underwatering or overwatering
  • Improper lighting conditions
  • Pest infestations introduced after purchase
  • Neglect or accidental damage
  • Environmental conditions beyond our control

Acts of Nature

Rooted Living Designs is not responsible for plant damage caused by weather-related events, including but not limited to:

  • Heavy rain
  • Strong winds
  • Hail
  • Frost
  • Extreme temperatures

Repotting Services

We are happy to assist with repotting and plant care advice. However, Rooted Living Designs cannot guarantee the health or performance of plants after repotting.

It is normal for plants to experience temporary transplant or water stress following repotting, particularly if they have been established in the same container for an extended period. Our team is always available to provide guidance and support as your plant adjusts.

Final Sale Items

The following items are considered Final Sale and are not eligible for return, exchange, or refund:

  • Imported tropical plants sourced from overseas
  • Plants and products shipped via Canada Post or other courier services
  • Sale and clearance items

Imported tropical plants are specialty collector plants. We encourage customers to research their care requirements and growing conditions before purchasing.

While we take great care in packaging all shipped items, Rooted Living Designs cannot be responsible for delays, damage, loss, or mishandling by third-party shipping carriers.

Please note that live plants are not shipped during winter months or when overnight temperatures are expected to fall below freezing.
