Ginseng Ficus make great beginner bonsai due to their forgiving nature towards minor neglect. Its ginseng-like “trunks” are really half the roots naturally exposed above ground. This Ficus tolerates a little bit of extra underwatering. It is ideal to keep the well-draining soil moderately moist.
